Our home breaks are Playa Guiones, Playa Ostional, and Marbella on the North Pacific coast. We also operate in Santa Teresa and Pavones, and can work with retreat organizers across Costa Rica. Wherever your retreat is based, get in touch and we'll let you know how we can make it work.

your questions, answered

  • Absolutely. Mixed ability groups are the norm rather than the exception. We assess each participant at the start of the session and adapt the coaching accordingly, making sure beginners feel safe and supported while more experienced surfers are challenged and engaged. Everyone works at their own level within the same session.

  • The earlier the better, especially for larger groups or longer retreat programs. That said, we understand that retreat planning doesn't always follow a neat timeline. Get in touch as soon as you have your dates confirmed and we'll do our best to make it work.

  • We monitor conditions closely and always have a backup plan. If the ocean isn't working for your group on a given day, we'll adjust the timing, move to a more suitable break, or reschedule the session within your retreat program. Your guests will always have a safe and worthwhile experience in the water.
